The Flower Show 2009 at Sentosa

I went to Sentosa on the first day of Chinese New Year, wanted to witness the colorful Flower Show 2009. But in less than an hour, I was disappointed and decided to leave the place. The show was not as spectacular as last year. The flowers were mostly local breeds. Exhibitions venues were scattered at different places, where the aged were in difficulty to appreciate the floral. To add to the down side, the weather was not desirable for photography, as it was a cloudy and windy day. Hope next year the show could be improved.

Wan Feng (晚风）is a sentimental Chinese love song. Originally was sang by Sally Ye Qian Wen. She interpreted the song so well that once you heard it, you would fall in love with it.

I have been listened to it for many times. Every time I listen to it, it gives me different feelings and makes me recall lots of my long lost memories.

The Lunar New Year

Every year as the Lunar New Year season draws by, China Town in Singapore would be buzzed with all kinds of activities. One prominent character would be: You will see RED all over the place. There will be red lanterns, red ribbons, red scroll, red packets, red dresses, and all kinds of deco items in Red. This is because Chinese believe that red would bring prosperity and good luck, at the same time it chases away the evil spirits.

The following photographs were taken with my handphone, while I was at China Town last week. The crowd was already building up, but the purchasing power was not as strong as last year!

伪君子

世上有千万种人，其中最令人厌恶的，莫过于伪君子！在我认识的人之中，就有如此鄙下之士。
此人外表斯文如君子，开口闭口都自认是读华文書的，懂得礼义廉耻，並口口声声说什么重师尊道之言。如果你一时失察，听他危言，日后必被他陷入十八层地獄。到时，你就会看到他切切私笑：哈，看！又一个傻瓜上当了！

对于这种人，我向来不耻与他多谈，避免被小人所乘！记得母亲在我小时候对我再三吩咐：遇到五短身材，瘴头鼠目者，说起话来又甜蜜如糖，奉承功夫上乘者，太半不会是君子，你最好远而避之，就像逃避瘟疫一般。不然你必定迟早会受到伤害。母亲的这幾句話就成了我日后交友的忠诫。

近日就亲眼目睹身邊有着这么一个小人，呼风喚雨，春风得意。只是不知道他的这蛋豪情可持多久。会不会有朝一日变成过街老鼠，人人喊打！到時，必有许多人大放爆竹庆賀一番矣。
